Frequently Asked Questions

Do we direct bill?

We can direct bill to your insurance plan for you. We can opt to have them pay you, or pay us. The claim will be sent electronically at the time of your appointment.

Some patients prefer to have the insurance pay them, as they receive the money next day and they get points on their credit card.

Some patients prefer to have the insurance pay us, our office policy is that we have a credit card number on file for remaining balances in the event we do not get a direct response from the insurance the day of the appointment.

Our office will also contact your insurance company for you, to obtain your plan maximums and frequencies to help you utilize your plan according to your health needs. Please know that sometimes, your health needs are over and above your plan maximums. We will help you prioritize treatment accordingly, to utilize your plan.

At what age should I bring my children to see the dentist?

Alberta Health Services and The Alberta Dental Association and College recommend children being seen within 6 months of their first tooth erupting or around their first birthday. How long will my appointment last?

This depends on what you are scheduled in for. General checkups and cleanings are typically scheduled for an hour. New patient exam and cleanings take 1.5-2hours. Root canals, crowns & bridges preps are typically a minimum of 2 hours long.

Are walk-in emergency appointments available?
